"Ars est celare artem, as the ancient Romans would say: the art is in concealing the art." - Truth in Comedy
Improvisation suffers from the misperception common to many arts. It's believed that a certain inborn talent is required. Not so! The only thing needed to succeed in this art form is interest. The skills come through practice; Improvisation is a technique.
Let me put it to you this way: Very few people would plop themselves in front of piano and play Mozart without some sort of training. Improv is the same way. Learning the chords and key changes of Improv enables you to become a virtuoso of it. That's what my classes offer.
HMMM....
Gosh James, these workshops must be expensive. I mean, classes in Chicago, the heart of improvisation, New York, or in Los Angeles cost anywhere from $200 to $400 for an eight week course. How much is it for your course?
There will be four classes offered this summer. Two for high school and two for college. Here are the classes and rates.
James...take me away.
